ROLE OVERVIEW:
- We are a growing creative and digital outsourcing services agency in startup mode, looking for a Senior Finance Manager to lead and build our finance function. You'll own financial planning, reporting, and process improvement while supervising our Finance Associate, who currently handles accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. This is a hands-on and strategic role ideal for someone who can balance day-to-day finance operations with long-term growth planning in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
WORK ARRANGEMENT:
- Engagement Type: Full-time Employment
- Work Arrangement: Remote; unless otherwise required to report onsite occasionally.
- Availability: Aligned with the company's working hours, with flexibility to attend meetings and coordination sessions as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finance Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the finance function end-to-end, working directly with the CEO and COO.
- Supervise and mentor the Finance Associate; review and ensure accuracy in AR, AP, and payroll processes.
- Provide financial guidance and performance coaching to help the team grow with the business.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Create and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
- Analyze monthly results, identify key insights, and recommend strategic actions.
- Partner with operations and client teams to support pricing, cost tracking, and project profitability analysis.
Financial Operations
- Oversee and continuously improve financial systems and workflows.
- Ensure accuracy in general ledger, bank reconciliations, and client/vendor billing.
- Support timely and accurate financial closings (monthly, quarterly, annual).
Compliance & Control
- Ensure tax, BIR/reporting compliance and coordinate with external accountants.
- Maintain basic internal controls and audit readiness.
- Support employment-related finance compliance in partnership with HR or external payroll providers.
Process & System Improvement
- Set up and streamline scalable finance processes, policies, and tools.
- Recommend and implement improvements to invoicing, expense management, or reporting workflows.
- Lead automation or digitization efforts where appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with agency, startup, or SME experience.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a junior finance or accounting staff.
- Proficient in tools like QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with project-based or service business models is a plus.
- Strong understanding of cash flow, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance for small businesses.
