ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Search Specialist (SEO/SEM) will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing search engine marketing and search engine optimization strategies across multiple platforms including Google, YouTube, Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok. This role plays a key part in driving online visibility, user acquisition, and revenue growth by implementing data-driven campaigns and performance-focused strategies aligned with client objectives.

WORK ARRANGEMENT:

  • Engagement Type: Independent Contractor, billable hours with a maximum of 180 hours per month
  • Work Arrangement: Remote
  • Tools & Platforms: Search platforms (Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Shopee/Lazada Ads), SEO audit tools, analytics platforms, collaboration/project management tools (e.g., email, chat, video conferencing)
  • Availability: Aligned with the clients working hours, with flexibility to attend coordination meetings and alignment sessions as needed

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Computer/Laptop: At least Intel i5 equivalent or higher and 8GB RAM or higher.
  • Stable Internet Connection: Minimum speed must be 25Mbps (download) and 10Mbps (upload), wired connection is preferred (but not required), and back up connection is a plus.
  • Peripherals: Built-in or external webcam, headset with microphone (noise cancelling is a plus)
  • Backup power source is a ideal, but not required

COMPENSATION TERMS:

  • The Search Specialist shall be compensated at an hourly rate
  • Maximum monthly billable hours: 180 hours
  • Compensation is based on actual hours worked, up to the monthly cap
  • Payment will be processed according to the agreed billing cycle and invoicing guidelines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, execute, and manage paid search (SEM) campaigns across Google, YouTube, Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize bid strategies to maximize ad performance and budget utilization
  • Run retargeting campaigns to re-engage high-intent audiences
  • Perform SEO audits and implement on-page and technical enhancements for improved organic rankings
  • Develop and maintain keyword-optimized content in coordination with content and creative teams
  • Monitor and analyze SEO and SEM performance metrics, providing actionable insights and regular reports
  • Stay current with evolving search trends, tools, and algorithm updates to maintain competitive advantage

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field
  • 24 years of proven experience in both SEO and SEM campaign management
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, YouTube Ads, and marketplace ad platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok)
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
  • Strong understanding of keyword research, bid optimization, and retargeting strategies
  • Data-driven mindset with excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns across platforms simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
