Role Overview:

  • Oversee and manage test strategy and execution across various applications and teams within a large-scale, multi-channel IT environment.
  • Act as the central quality assurance stakeholder within the Business Area Commercial Channels & Products, supporting NMBS-SNCBs digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Coordination

  • Define and maintain a comprehensive test strategy aligned with Agile delivery cycles and release milestones.
  • Coordinate all testing activities across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Lead defect triage meetings and ensure consistent follow-up and resolution tracking.
  • Ensure test traceability from requirements through coverage to defect resolution.
  • Oversee planning for regression testing and non-functional testing requirements.
  • Facilitate test readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and communicate quality status.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key QA stakeholder during Agile ceremonies such as refinements, sprint demos, and release planning.
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication of quality-related matters.

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Mentor and support functional testers with methodologies, tools (Xray, Jira, Confluence), and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and tools.

Required Hard Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in functional testing of front-end applications.
  • 8+ years in a test coordinator role.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and maintaining test plans.
  • 5+ years of experience with test management tools: Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification (Advanced Test Manager is a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with Agile team testing.
  • Strong understanding of regression testing strategies.
  • C1 proficiency in English and in either Dutch or French.
  • 7+ years of experience in the public transport sector.
  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce and inter-modality sales platforms.

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid work model: 2 standard office days per week, with increased on-site presence during key phases.
  • Test automation experience is a plus but not core to the role.
