📋 Tasks and responsibilities

You will join a specialized technical unit active in support of sensitive judicial and crisis-related operations. The team is responsible for preparing and carrying out discreet technical deployments and for real-time telecommunications interception and observation within the applicable legal framework. It maintains the required infrastructure and develops solutions to improve the effectiveness of telecom interception.

You will work in a dynamic, committed team using specialized resources, systems, and technologies in support of sensitive investigations.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Telecommunications Engineer to provide Level 3 technical support and expertise for telecom and IT environments, ensure the reliability and performance of critical telecommunication solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT service quality.

The Senior Telecommunications Engineer plays a key role in supporting, testing, deploying, developing, and maintaining telecom systems while ensuring that user expectations and technical requirements are met.

🛠️ Responsibilities:

Level 3 Support & Incident Resolution

  • Handle Level 3 incidents and service requests related to telecom systems (VoIP, SIP, mobile networks, routing, etc.).

  • Diagnose, analyse, and resolve technical issues in both IT and telecom environments.

  • Resolve escalated complex incidents when required.

  • Ensure proactive monitoring and follow-up of user environments.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of telecom and IT support processes.

  • Use ticketing tools to track incidents, requests, and resolutions.

Telecommunication Engineering & Deployment

  • Support and, when appropriate, manage the implementation, testing, deployment, and interception of new telecommunication solutions.

  • Collaborate with network operators and relevant internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.

  • Work closely with team leadership and end-user representatives to ensure technical requirements and expectations are met.

  • Participate in the validation and acceptance of new telecom features or services.

  • Provide functional and technical support for telecom-related applications or tools.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Create and maintain documentation, including procedures, test plans, user guides, and support materials.

  • Contribute to the knowledge base and ensure documentation remains up to date.

  • Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to learning and development.

Required experience

  • Strong knowledge of mobile network architecture:

  • 2G/3G/4G/5G, VoIP, SIP, routing, etc.

  • Core Network (EPC, 5GC), IMS, VoLTE.

  • Deep understanding of signaling protocols.

  • Knowledge of roaming, interconnect, and lawful interception concepts.

  • Experience with networking and security.

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Cybersecurity.

  • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications or mobile network environments.

  • Prior experience with mobile operators, MVNOs, or telecom vendors is highly desirable.

  • Industry certifications are a strong plus, such as 3GPP / LTE / 5G certifications.

  • Experience with ticketing tools and structured support workflows.

A TOP SECRET level security clearance is required for this position, as referred to in the law of 11/12/1998 on classification, security clearances, attestations, and notices.
