We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Manager to lead our logistics operations and ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities
As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all logistics activities, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and personnel for diverse energy projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives, optimizing transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Oversee all modes of transportation (land, sea, air) for inbound and outbound shipments, negotiating contracts with carriers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Establish and manage efficient warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, safe storage, and timely dispatch of materials and equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant customs regulations, import/export procedures, and other legal requirements for domestic and international shipments.
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with logistics service providers, including freight forwarders, shipping lines, and warehousing companies, ensuring optimal service and cost efficiency.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Identify and mitigate potential logistics risks, developing contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted project flow.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Procurement, Project Management, Engineering) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, regulatory bodies) to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Track key logistics metrics, analyze performance, and provide regular reports to management, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure all logistics activities are conducted in accordance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics management, with a significant portion of that experience within the oil & gas, construction, or EPC industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics principles, transportation modes, warehousing practices, inventory management, customs regulations, and international trade.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a logistics team effectively, with strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms with logistics service providers.
- Proficient in using logistics software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and excellent command of English (both written and spoken) is essential due to international collaborations and documentation.
- Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are a plus.
