About Our Client:
Our client, a leading provider of innovative cable and connectivity solutions, with a significant and growing footprint in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Renewable Energy to spearhead their renewable energy market initiatives in Indonesia.
Position Overview:
As the Head of Renewable Energy, you will be the driving force behind the planning, organization, and control of all selling operations for our client's product portfolio within the vibrant Indonesian solar market. You will be instrumental in initiating, promoting, and developing project sales opportunities, leading a dedicated team, and leveraging existing partnerships to achieve ambitious financial and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and control sales operations to drive revenue and market share in the solar sector, focusing on project opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a project sales team, enhancing their product knowledge, sales techniques, negotiation skills, and overall performance through coaching and feedback.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for the solar segment in Indonesia, aligned with regional objectives. Leverage existing partnerships and forge new relationships to expand market reach.
- Continuously review market intelligence, competitor activities (products, pricing, strategies), and identify unique selling propositions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Oversee all project team activities, from initial technical discussions and brand specification to project approval, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient cost management throughout execution.
- Provide robust commercial support to the sales team, manage and optimize stock levels, monitor outstanding debts, and ensure healthy cash flow.
- Work closely with marketing to tailor campaigns and sales tools, and collaborate with the technical team to ensure product competitive advantage and image.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential customers, building confidence in the product reputation and increasing brand awareness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in sales.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience as a Head of Sales or in a similar leadership role within the renewable energy sector (specifically solar), with a strong understanding of project sales and the Indonesian market.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L responsibility, budget management, and sales forecasting.
- Deep understanding of the solar market, including products, technologies, and market dynamics (e.g., microgrid development).
- Ability to evaluate customer businesses and provide tailored technical and commercial solutions.
