Are you a world-class Business Development leader driven by scientific innovation and the potential of curative medicine? Our client, a rapidly expanding global leader in CAR-T and TCR-T therapeutics, is seeking a visionary Head of Business Development (Director/VP) to join their executive team.

You will be the strategic architect responsible for identifying, valuing, and securing licensing and partnership deals that rapidly expand the company's pipeline, market reach, and technological advantage in oncology and beyond. This is a high-stakes, high-autonomy role reporting directly to the CEO, demanding urgency, deep commercial-scientific fluency, and a strong capability in cross-cultural communication to support their global operations.

What You Will Drive

As the Head of BD, you will be responsible for the full deal lifecycle, translating scientific opportunity into tangible commercial growth:

Global Deal Architecture & Negotiation

  • Lead the search, identification, and initial review of strategic collaboration, alliance, and licensing opportunities worldwide.
  • Serve as the lead negotiator for business transactions, guiding the negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements to ensure successful and timely execution.
  • Oversee the execution of all established agreements to ensure strategic objectives and corporate missions are accomplished.
  • Act as the primary external representative for the company on assigned projects, showcasing the client's capabilities to prospective collaborators.

Strategic & Financial Evaluation

  • Perform rigorous market research and competitive landscape analysis to evaluate product development and commercial opportunities within key therapeutic areas.
  • Generate accurate revenue forecasts, detailed P&L models, and comprehensive NPV (Net Present Value) analyses to assess and justify potential deals.
  • Set critical targets for potential deals, initializing deep analysis of business opportunities, including key drivers, risks, and strategic alignment.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and work with internal scientific teams on evaluation, due diligence, and initial product development plans for proposed transactions.

Leadership & Market Intelligence

  • Identify, develop, and nurture high-value scientific and business relationships with executives and senior management across global biopharmaceutical companies and academia.
  • Maintain a high level of communication regarding BD activities with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and compelling presentations on the company's platform and pipeline.
  • Stay continuously abreast of new scientific and commercial developments in key therapeutic areas to maintain a competitive edge.

What You Will Contribute

  • Education: Masters degree or higher in Bioscience, Medical Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in business development within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, including demonstrable success with direct negotiating authority in a leadership role.
  • Global Acumen: Proven success interacting directly with BD, marketing, scientific, and senior management executives at the international level.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills coupled with a goal-oriented personality; able to work independently while managing complex projects within a multidisciplinary, dynamic team.
  • Urgency & Accountability: A strong sense of urgency, decisiveness, and accountability, with documented experience working with aggressive timelines.
  • Communication: Outstanding presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) capable of influencing decision-makers globally.
  • Language Fluency: Professional fluency in Mandarin highly preferred to effectively negotiate and manage relationships with key international partners.
