Fire Sprinkler Construction Manager

 Job Description:

Summary:
Our client is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Construction Manager to join their team! This role is responsible for overseeing sprinkler installation projects from planning through closeout, managing project financials, and leading field personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fire sprinkler systems, project management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine safety inspections at job sites and enforce compliance with company practices
  • Coach, mentor, and develop field staff to strengthen team performance
  • Oversee and coordinate fire sprinkler installation projects from start to finish
  • Identify additional work outside the original scope and prepare documentation for change orders
  • Source, order, and track materials and equipment needed for projects
  • Lead weekly toolbox talks to promote a safe and productive work environment
  • Schedule field crews and monitor project hours to maintain efficiency
  • Prepare accurate documentation and ensure all projects are properly closed out
  • Provide customers with clear and timely project updates
  • Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction
  • Establish performance goals and monitor productivity for field personnel
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and evaluating field employees
  • Track and manage project budgets, costs, and profitability
  • Handle additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience with fire sprinkler system installation
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems, materials, and joining methods
  • Understanding of fire protection installation requirements and the ability to read blueprints
  • Familiarity with NFPA 13 rules and applicable codes
  • Extensive experience managing P&L is highly valued
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Education/Certification Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET II or III certification
