Radiology Technologist (NEW GRADS WELCOME)

Job Title: X-Ray/Radiology Technologist

Work Schedule: Days 5x7s
Shift: 7:30am-5:30pm or 8:00am-6:00pm
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $76,000 - $96,000
Sign On: $10,000

Must Have:

• ARRT (R)

Details:

• Perform general radiography and bone density studies as ordered by

  clinical requisitions
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide guidance throughout the imaging process

• Position patients safely and accurately to capture optimal diagnostic

  views
• Adjust fluoroscopy equipment settings according to procedure requirements
• Input patient history into the electronic medical record and scan supporting documentation
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to all standard infection control protocols
• Ensure a clean, sterile work environment at all times
• Complete documentation necessary for accurate billing and timely patient care
• Manage inventory of imaging supplies and escalate restocking needs as appropriate
• Receive and verify supply orders and assist with cost control measures

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology

• Experience in other radiology modalities may be applicable

Certification & License:

• Current, active, and unrestricted New York State License in Radiographic Technology (R)
• Temporary NYS license acceptable, with permanent license required before expiration
• ARRT (R) Certification
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
