Job Knowledge
- Lifting and hoisting engineering principles.
- Crane operations (mobile, crawler, tower, pedestal).
- Rigging systems and lifting accessories.
- Lift categorization and risk‑based planning.
- Ground bearing pressure and stability assessment.
- Interfaces between lifting operations and plant operations
- Company Control of Work and HSSE governance.
- Practical application of IOGP 376.
Skills
- Strong engineering judgement and analytical capability.
- Ability to critically review and challenge lifting documentation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence to intervene and escalate unsafe conditions.
- Effective cross‑discipline and contractor engagement.
- Structured and disciplined approach to assurance.
- Ability to work independently within defined authority limits.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Have certification in Lifting, Appointed person for lifting, certified Lifting Engineer (LEEA certification).
- Minimum 5–8 years' experience in lifting engineering, heavy construction, maintenance, or industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing engineered lift plans.
- Strong Knowledge in oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities.
- Experience in brownfield or live‑plant lifting operations.
- Exposure to marine or jetty‑related lifting works.
- Experience supporting Plant Turnarounds or major shutdowns.
- Familiarity with company standards, projects, or assurance processes.
