About the job Project Control Engineer
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY
- Support development and maintenance of WBS, CBS and project coding structures.
- Maintain project control systems, databases and reporting tools.
- Support development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Collect, validate and consolidate project progress data.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and ad hoc project reports.
- Support preparation of Control Budget and cost baseline.
- Monitor commitments, actual cost, ETC, FAC and cash flow.
- Identify and report schedule and cost variances.
- Maintain MOC Register and Change Order Register.
- Support evaluation of cost and schedule impacts of changes.
- Prepare productivity, performance and KPI reports.
- Support risk register updates and mitigation tracking.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Contracts and Finance.
- Support client billing documentation and invoice register.
- Verify accuracy of project control data before submission.
- Maintain project records and document control.
- Support project close out, lessons learned and archiving.
- Ensure compliance with PMCOM and Project Controls Procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical); from recognized Higher Learning Institution.
- Registered with the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in Project Controls, Planning, Cost Control or Project Engineering within Oil & Gas. EPC or EPCIC (Offshore).
