NDT Engineer
About the job NDT Engineer
JOB PURPOSE
- Driving disciplined global Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) planning & execution with a centralized approach & focusing on spirit of collaboration.
- Execute & support the NDT function under the Welding, Coating & Inspection (WCI) Department in line with operational requirements.
- Ensure that the NDT function is aligned & projects are executed smoothly.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for the execution & support of the NDT function under WCI Department to ensure safe, efficient & performant operations as well as project & tender execution.
- Responsible for the overall performance of the NDT function.
- Provide NDT-related inputs for the development of project-specific Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA).
- Responsible for developing OOCOM for offshore NDT operations & for maintaining & updating as per requirements.
- Responsible for sufficient qualified resources are available for projects execution according to international standards & project specific requirements.
- Provide support for project bidding / tendering (technical review, cycle time & costing validation).
- Promote & drive QHSE commitment & adherence to safe work policies & practices of the NDT function.
- Actively participate to promote HSE conformance & work on establishing a Safety Culture within the NDT function.
- Interface with other departmental functions & with subcontractors / vendors, while promoting teamwork.
- Maintain WCI Department's share drive & know-how related to WCI Department's activities.
- Adhere to policies & procedures of Company, Company Corporate QHSSSE, Operating Company, & Business Unit at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- PCN, CSWIP or ISO 9712 Level III in UT & PAUT.
- CSWIP Level II in AUT Data Interpretation.
- ASNT NDT Level-III - RT, UT, MT & PT is a nice to have.
- Membership in international bodies is nice to have.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 8 - 10 minimum years of working experience in NDT on EPCI & T&I projects.
- Advance NDT techniques (AUT & PAUT including relevant qualification, validation & demonstration), conventional NDT techniques (RT, UT, MT, PT) & destructive test (macro salami) for oil & gas industry.
- Experience in delivering projects similar to the ones in E&C Business Plan.
- Project bidding / tendering (technical, cycle time & commercial).
- Worldwide experience in managing main E&P operators
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Good knowledge of NDT, welding & QC for offshore pipeline & structural.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving & process improvement skills.
- Good interpersonal communication & motivational skills.
- Good knowledge & understanding of project execution & project cost control management.
- Good ability to handle multiple clients, manage subcontractors / vendors, & mitigate project execution risks.
