Position Overview
Episcopal School of Baton Rouge is seeking a dedicated and innovative Remote Education and Training Coordinator to design, implement, and manage professional development programs for faculty and staff across divisions (Lower, Middle, and Upper School). This remote role supports the schools ongoing commitment to instructional excellence, curriculum development, and faculty growth.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in adult learning, instructional coaching, virtual training methodologies, and K12 curriculum best practices. This role ensures that Episcopals educators are equipped with current pedagogical tools, technologies, and strategies to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Development Planning and Implementation
Design and deliver engaging remote training sessions, workshops, and webinars tailored to faculty needs in areas such as instructional technology, pedagogy, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), and assessment.
Coordinate ongoing learning opportunities using digital platforms such as Zoom, Google Workspace, Canvas, and other LMS tools.
Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and classroom observation data (when provided).
Curriculum Support
Collaborate with academic leaders to align professional development with school-wide curriculum goals and strategic initiatives.
Provide resources and virtual coaching for teachers implementing new instructional strategies or curriculum frameworks.
Support cross-divisional alignment and documentation of curriculum through digital tools.
Instructional Coaching (Remote)
Offer virtual one-on-one and small-group instructional coaching to faculty members based on identified goals and areas of growth.
Provide constructive feedback and support to teachers regarding instructional design, classroom management strategies, and student engagement.
Maintain digital logs and coaching documentation.
Learning Management and Technology Integration
Train and support faculty in the use of instructional technology tools and platforms to enhance student learning.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure effective integration of digital tools in remote and on-campus learning environments.
Assessment and Evaluation
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through data collection and analysis.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to school leadership for continuous improvement.
Maintain up-to-date records of teacher participation, feedback, and outcomes.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Division Heads, and Department Chairs to ensure training meets school-wide priorities.
Communicate clearly and consistently with all stakeholders regarding upcoming training, resources, and expectations.
Support a culture of continuous professional growth across the Episcopal faculty.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a K12 school environment
Experience designing and delivering professional development for educators
Proficiency with digital learning tools and remote teaching platforms
Strong understanding of current best practices in pedagogy, curriculum development, and instructional coaching
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely
Preferred:
Masters degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a related field
Experience in an independent or faith-based school environment
Familiarity with Episcopal school traditions and values
Coaching certification (e.g., Cognitive Coaching, Instructional Coaching Institute)
Experience with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Google Classroom, or Schoology

Work Environment and Schedule
This is a remote position. Applicants must have reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
Regular virtual meetings and communication with school leadership and staff will be expected.
Occasional travel (12 times per year) to Baton Rouge for in-person training or retreats may be required, with advance notice.
