About the job Desktop Support Technician
Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 apps, VPN configurations, software installations, and security updates.
Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs for end-user devices, ensuring minimal downtime.
Oversee laptop imaging and deployment using Microsoft Intune and MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) for new employees and device refreshes.
Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for user authentication, access control, and identity management.
Implement and enforce group policies (GPOs) to enhance system security and compliance.
Troubleshoot and maintain network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Assist in network configurations, VLAN setups, and IP address management (IPAM).
Work with VPN and remote access solutions to ensure secure connectivity for remote employees.
Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for procurement, warranty claims, and licensing renewals.
Manage software licensing and ensure compliance with enterprise agreements.
Handle IT equipment purchasing, inventory tracking, and asset lifecycle management.
Develop PowerShell scripts for automating tasks such as user account provisioning, software deployment, and system monitoring.
Automate Windows updates, log collection, and patch management to improve efficiency.
Ensure endpoint security by enforcing BitLocker encryption, Defender policies, and Intune compliance settings.
Perform system hardening, vulnerability assessments, and patch management for enterprise endpoints
