The IT Asset Analyst is responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and hardware IT assets. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and hardware assets to ensure compliance and optimization of resources. The role helps the organization manage risks, control costs, and support lifecycle management processes for all IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the IT asset inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Track the life cycle of IT assets from procurement to retirement.

Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate asset acquisition and disposal records.

Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.

Conduct regular audits of assets to verify usage, location, and condition.

Analyze data to forecast needs and recommend procurement actions.

Support IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools and databases, ensuring data integrity.

Assist in developing and enforcing asset management policies and procedures.

Provide reports and metrics related to asset utilization, cost savings, and lifecycle status.

Coordinate with other IT teams to support deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning activities.
