Automation & Controls Engineer

Join a dynamic manufacturing team as an Automation & Controls Engineer, where you'll lead electrical systems and automation initiatives in a 24/7 mineral wool insulation facility. 

This mid-senior level role supports plant operations, drives process improvements, and contributes to strategic growth projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and optimize electrical/control systems across production lines.
• Lead automation upgrades, standardization efforts, and documentation of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety, quality, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Support IT, HR, and safety systems including access control and plant security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 3+ years in control systems within manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotic platforms (ABB, Fanuc).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.

Preferred Skills: Cognex Vision, Wonderware, Genetec, AutoCAD/Visio, Lean/Six Sigma, SAP

This is a hands-on role with exposure to both office and plant environments. Candidates must be comfortable working around heavy machinery and variable conditions.
