About the job IT Project Management Associate
The IT Project Management Associate will serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related projects within the organization. This role is responsible for initiating, planning, coordinating, and monitoring IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving successful execution. The IT Project Manager Associate will manage new initiatives, oversee ongoing projects, provide regular status updates to stakeholders, and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of all IT-related projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Initiation & Coordination
- Act as the central liaison between IT and business units for all new project requests.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions with internal teams and external vendors.
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain project plans, including resource allocation, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Oversee vendor deliverables and manage third-party relationships where applicable.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against defined goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to IT management and business stakeholders.
- Escalate issues, risks, and dependencies in a timely manner.
Portfolio Management
- Maintain a centralized list and dashboard of all IT-related projects, including new, ongoing, and completed initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of IT projects with organizational strategy and priorities.
- Support IT leadership in resource planning and prioritization across the project portfolio.
Governance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal project management standards, methodologies, and governance processes.
- Document project requirements, decisions, lessons learned, and closure reports.
