Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled VDC Engineer to join our team, responsible for creating and managing virtual design and construction processes. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced technologies to improve project outcomes and streamline construction processes, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement virtual design and construction strategies to enhance project delivery.

Collaborate with project teams to create detailed 3D models and simulations using BIM software.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment of design and construction activities.

Analyze project requirements and provide technical expertise in VDC-related tasks.

Support preconstruction efforts by creating accurate estimates and maintaining project schedules.

Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks for model creation and analysis.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between project stakeholders through effective use of VDC technologies.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a VDC Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.

Proven experience working with or for mechanical contractors

Strong knowledge of BIM processes and tools, including Autodesk and Bluebeam.

Familiarity with construction methods and practices, particularly in mechanical contracting.

Proficient in software applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Procore.

Experience with MEP systems and understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
