Job Description
A premier workers comp defense firm is hiring a Workers Compensation Attorney in Encino, CA. This role presents an opportunity to engage in the dynamic field of Workers Compensation law, where you will manage a diverse caseload for prominent clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong trial capabilities and the ability to establish meaningful client relationships. You will be responsible for handling cases from inception to resolution, ensuring timely responses to client inquiries. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to professional development. Candidates should be prepared to work collaboratively while maintaining a focus on individual performance metrics.
Salary Range: $125,000 – $220,000 / Year DOE
Workers Compensation Attorney Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 60 cases, ensuring no attorney exceeds 80 cases.
Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing issues and concerns as they arise.
Handle all aspects of cases, including hearings and trials, with a focus on in-person trial readiness.
Collaborate with a dedicated Legal Assistant for administrative support, including drafting and scheduling.
Maintain accurate records of billable hours, targeting 200 hours per month.
Respond to client communications within 24 hours to foster strong relationships.
Travel within the area for trials, primarily in Southern California, as needed.
Workers Compensation Attorney Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Workers Compensation defense.
Proven ability to go to trial in person is essential.
Trial experience is highly preferred, with interest in understanding prior case management.
Must be barred in California.
Benefits:
401K plan available after 30 days of employment.
Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage available after 60 days, with 50% coverage for the base plan for employees.

Five paid holidays, with flexibility for additional time off as long as client obligations are met.
Bi-monthly payroll on the 5th and 20th of each month.
