Senior Product Owner (DPM) to bridge the gap between US-based Insurance business stakeholders and a global engineering team. You will lead the Requirement Elaboration process, maintain an impeccable Technical/Functional Documentation library, and drive Agile Execution through high-quality Jira Story Writing. This is a "hands-on leadership" role requiring deep insurance domain knowledge and the ability to manage the functional lifecycle from a high-level roadmap down to the final UAT sign-off. Required Qualifications & Skills
- Insurance Domain Mastery: 10+ years of experience in P&C, Life, or Specialty Insurance. Deep understanding of policy lifecycles, claims processing, or insurance regulatory reporting.
- Manages the product backlog, contributes towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
- Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.
- An insurance product manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of an insurance product, from conception and development to launch and post-launch analysis, ensuring it aligns with customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements while driving profitability by strategically designing, managing, and optimizing insurance offerings across different channels.
- Market analysis and product strategy
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential customer needs, gaps in the market, and competitive landscape to develop a comprehensive product strategy.
- Product design and development
- Define product features, benefits, pricing structures, and coverage options, collaborating with cross-functional teams like actuarial, underwriting, and IT to translate product vision into reality.
- Agile Expert: Advanced proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies. You should be able to explain how you've scaled Agile in a global delivery model.
- Tool Expert: Power-user level skills in Jira and Confluence. Experience with visual modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro) for process mapping.
- Data Literacy: Sufficient technical depth to discuss Snowflake schemas, SQL logic, and API integrations with data engineers.
- Communication: Masterful ability to translate "Insurance Speak" into "Developer Speak."
