Job Title: Member of Technical Staff, Medical Research

The Role

Join our research team as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS), Medical & Health Research, where you'll help advance AI systems capable of supporting healthcare, clinical, and biomedical workflows. This role focuses on developing rigorous evaluation frameworks that measure medical reasoning, evidence synthesis, and healthcare decision support capabilities.

You will conduct applied research, establish quality standards, and help shape the future of trustworthy AI in healthcare.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Design and own evaluation frameworks for AI systems operating in healthcare and medical domains, including benchmarks, scoring methodologies, clinical quality rubrics, and validation protocols.
  2. Conduct research on medical reasoning, evidence-based decision making, clinical workflows, and healthcare information synthesis.
  3. Develop benchmark datasets and evaluation environments based on real-world healthcare and biomedical scenarios.
  4. Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to evaluate and improve healthcare-focused AI systems.
  5. Analyze performance, safety considerations, reasoning quality, and failure patterns in medical use cases.
  6. Produce research reports, evaluation methodologies, and best-practice guidelines.
  7. Stay current with advancements in medicine, healthcare delivery, biomedical research, and AI.
  8. Contribute to the development of industry standards for healthcare AI evaluation and reliability.

What We're Looking For

  1. Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or a related healthcare field (MD, DO, PhD, MPH, PharmD, etc.).
  2. Deep expertise in clinical practice, healthcare operations, biomedical research, public health, healthcare analytics, or evidence-based medicine.
  3. Demonstrated experience conducting medical, clinical, or healthcare research.
  4. Strong understanding of research design, evidence evaluation, and healthcare decision-making processes.
  5. Exceptional analytical reasoning and scientific communication skills.
  6. Experience working in multidisciplinary environments involving research, healthcare, technology, or policy stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with digital health, clinical decision support systems, healthcare analytics, or health technology assessment.
  2. Familiarity with healthcare quality measurement, clinical guidelines, evidence synthesis, or healthcare benchmarking.
  3. Published research in medical, clinical, healthcare, or biomedical fields.
  4. Experience participating in clinical studies, systematic reviews, or healthcare evaluation initiatives.
