About the Role

The Corporate Business Lead will be responsible for driving corporate and institutional business growth by identifying opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and implementing effective sales initiatives. The role requires a strong commercial mindset, relationship-building ability, and technical understanding of life insurance and investment products to deliver tailored financial solutions to corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to acquire and retain corporate and institutional clients.

  • Identify business opportunities across industries and create tailored insurance packages that meet clients needs.

  • Lead high-level negotiations, product pitches, and business presentations to corporate stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative group life, annuity, and employee benefit offerings.

  • Manage key client portfolios, ensuring excellent relationship management and service delivery.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine sales strategies.

  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports on sales activities, performance, and pipeline development.

  • Represent the company at corporate events, trade fairs, and strategic partnership meetings.

  • Work closely with marketing and product development teams to enhance the companys brand visibility.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, business ethics, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

To evaluate performance success in this role, the following KPIs will be used:

  • Business Growth: Achieving quarterly and annual corporate sales and revenue targets.

  • Client Acquisition: Number of new corporate/institutional clients onboarded within the review period.

  • Portfolio Retention Rate: Renewal and satisfaction rate of existing corporate accounts.

  • Revenue Contribution: Contribution to total premium income and profitability.

  • Lead Conversion Ratio: Percentage of leads converted to active corporate clients.

  • Relationship Management: Client satisfaction and feedback ratings.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Quality and number of alliances formed to enhance business growth.

  • Compliance & Reporting: Timely and accurate submission of performance reports and adherence to regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 57 years of proven experience in business development, relationship management, or corporate sales preferably in Life Insurance, Pension, or Financial Services.

  • Strong understanding of Group Life, Annuity, and Employee Benefit products.

  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

  • Relevant professional certifications (ACII, ACIIN, or related) are an advantage.
