Job Summary
The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall management and profitability of the branch. The role involves driving business growth, ensuring operational efficiency, managing staff performance, and delivering excellent customer service in line with the bank's strategic objectives and regulatory standards. The Branch Manager will also oversee loan portfolio quality, deposit mobilization, and risk management at the branch level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily branch operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Drive deposit mobilization and loan portfolio growth in line with set targets.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Supervise branch staff and ensure optimal performance across all functions.
  • Monitor loan applications, approvals, disbursements, and recoveries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Prepare and submit periodic operational and financial reports.
  • Manage branch risk, including credit risk and operational risk controls.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow branch profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and local stakeholders.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIBN, ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–8 years banking experience.
  • At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or branch leadership role within a microfinance or commercial bank.
