Job Summary
Our Client, a leading Insurance Firm, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial management, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial strategy. The CFO will play a critical role in driving profitability, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting executive decision-making while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy and long-term planning framework
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board, and Executive Team
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with NAICOM regulations, IFRS standards, and internal policies
- Manage treasury operations, capital structure, and investment strategies
- Drive cost optimization and financial performance improvement initiatives
- Lead audit, tax, and risk management functions
- Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks
- Manage relationships with regulators, investors, and financial institutions
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years' experience, with at least 5 years in executive leadership
- Proven experience in insurance or financial services
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial modeling, and regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in financial planning, treasury, and risk management
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
Soft Skills
- Strategic thinking and leadership capability
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CFA certification
- Experience in capital raising and investor relations
- Exposure to multi-entity or group structures
