Job Summary

Our Client, a leading Insurance Firm, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial management, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial strategy. The CFO will play a critical role in driving profitability, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting executive decision-making while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy and long-term planning framework
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board, and Executive Team
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Ensure compliance with NAICOM regulations, IFRS standards, and internal policies
  • Manage treasury operations, capital structure, and investment strategies
  • Drive cost optimization and financial performance improvement initiatives
  • Lead audit, tax, and risk management functions
  • Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks
  • Manage relationships with regulators, investors, and financial institutions
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives
Required Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience, with at least 5 years in executive leadership
  • Proven experience in insurance or financial services

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial modeling, and regulatory frameworks
  • Expertise in financial planning, treasury, and risk management
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
Soft Skills
  • Strategic thinking and leadership capability
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA, or CFA certification
  • Experience in capital raising and investor relations
  • Exposure to multi-entity or group structures
