ABOUT THE JOB: In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence and developing strong relationships with distributors, retailers and strategic partners. You are required to possess expert knowledge of wholesale distribution.
Success in this role requires a proactive minded professional who thrives in building long-term strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, increasing brand visibility across wholesale, retail, e-commerce and distribution channels.
You are expected to have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Develop and execute wholesale business strategies to achieve sales, volume and market share targets.
Identify, onboard and manage new wholesale distributors and key accounts
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with wholesalers, distributors and trade partners
Negotiate pricing, trade terms, contracts and promotional agreements in line with company policies and regulations
Monitor wholesale market trends, competitor activity and pricing structures to identify growth opportunities
Collaborate with sales operations, supply chain and marketing teams to ensure optimal product availability and distribution efficiency.
Drive execution of trade programs, incentives and promotional activities within the wholesale channel
Ensure full compliance with local and international tobacco regulations, company policies and ethical standards
Prepare sales forecast, budgets and performance reports; track KPIs and recommend corrective actions where needed.
Represent the company at industry events, trade meetings and distributor forums as required
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
3-5 years in wholesale distribution and partnership roles/ sales or business development, preferably with the FMCG, tobacco, cosmetics or regulated industries.
Strong negotiation, analytical and relationship management skills
Proven track record of managing wholesale or distribution-led channels
Experience working in highly regulated environments is a strong advantage.
