A specialised retail outlet focused on high-end lubricants and automotive fluids is seeking to recruit detail-oriented and trustworthy Customer Payment Executives (Cashiers). This role is suited for individuals with strong numerical skills and a high level of accuracy in handling financial transactions and records.

Role Overview

The Customer Payment Executive will be responsible for managing all in-store payment processes, ensuring accurate daily reconciliations, and maintaining proper financial records. The role requires a high degree of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer payments via cash, POS, and other approved payment channels
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records
• Perform daily cash balancing and reconciliation of all transactions
• Monitor and report discrepancies in payments or financial records
• Maintain proper documentation of sales and payment activities
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly
• Work closely with the sales team to confirm completed transactions
• Safeguard cash and POS equipment at all times
• Support basic administrative and reporting tasks related to store finances
• Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and controls

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE (OND/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field is an added advantage)
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar financial role is an advantage
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good integrity and ability to handle cash responsibly
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer use
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
