About the job Insurance Broker
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Insurance Broker to join our team. The successful candidate will act as an intermediary between clients and insurance companies, helping individuals and businesses find the most suitable insurance policies to meet their needs. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of various insurance products, and the ability to analyze client requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess client's insurance needs and recommend suitable products and policies
- Research and compare insurance quotes from various providers
- Negotiate policy terms and costs with insurers on behalf of clients
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and insurance providers
- Explain policy details, coverage, exclusions, and costs to clients
- Assist clients with policy renewals, claims, and amendments
- Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and new products
- Ensure all insurance documents are accurate and comply with legal standards
- Maintain detailed records of policies sold and communications with clients
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
- 4+ years of experience in insurance or financial services
- Proven experience as an insurance broker or similar role
- Strong understanding of insurance products (e.g., life, health, property, auto, commercial)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills
- Ability to analyze complex information and present it clearly
- Customer-focused with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant certification or license (e.g., state broker license) required
