About the job Insurance Sales Manager
The Insurance Sales Manager will lead and manage a team of insurance brokers across commercial and personal lines. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring compliance with RE5 and FAIS Fit and Proper requirements, and maintaining high levels of client service and broker performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and mentor a team of brokers, ensuring targets are met for both commercial and personal lines.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow insurance revenue across assigned markets.
- Monitor broker performance, providing guidance, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including RE5 registration and FAIS Fit and Proper standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Review and approve insurance proposals, renewals, and claims handling where applicable.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for business development.
- Prepare regular management reports on sales performance, compliance, and market insights.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- RE5 license required.
- FAIS Fit and Proper compliance mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing insurance brokers.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven track record in both commercial and personal lines insurance sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Travel may be required to meet with brokers and clients.
