Job Summary
:

The QA/QC & NDT Engineer ensures compliance with all quality standards and project specifications related to materials, welding, and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement QA/QC procedures and Inspection Test Plans in line with project requirements.

  • Conduct and supervise NDT methods in accordance with ASNT, ISO, or other relevant standards.

  • Coordinate with client and third-party inspectors for inspections and audits.

  • Implement the needed procedure related to the work execution for each trade.

  • Monitor fabrication, installation, and welding activities to ensure compliance with project standards.

  • Maintain all inspection records, reports, and documentation for final handover packages (QA/QC dossiers).

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for non-conformances (NCRs).

  • Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).

  • Ensure quality control of materials and consumables used at the site.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 5-10 years QA/QC and NDT experience in Oil & Gas (EPC, offshore/onshore, pipelines, refineries).

  • Certified in NDT methods (Level II or III in RT, UT, MT, PT as per ASNT/PCN).

  • Knowledge of international codes: ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and other related standards.

  • Familiarity with welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc.).

  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.

  • Experience with QA/QC software and documentation systems.

  • Strong communication and reporting skills.

  • Certification in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is a plus.

  • BOSIET Certification is a plus.

Working Conditions :

  • Full-time position (6 days a week)

  • The role may require occasional weekend work depending on project deadlines.

  • Residence Requirement: This role requires to be based in Mauritania.
