About the Role

As the Manager Finance Department, you will oversee a team of 15 finance professionals and be responsible for managing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial planning. This role requires a leader who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic initiatives, providing financial insights that support business growth and profitability. You will act as a key advisor to senior leadership, ensuring the finance department operates efficiently and aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 15 finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting to ensure financial targets are met.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate financial reports, variance analyses, and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency within the department.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to provide financial guidance and support on key initiatives.
• Risk Management: Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA, CIMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Proven track record of managing large teams and driving financial performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite), and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
• Experience in the technology or SaaS industry is a plus but not required.
