A leading fintech platform is expanding its engineering team in Thailand and is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js). Youll play a critical role in building scalable backend services, APIs, and data-driven systems that support millions of users across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend systems using Node.js and modern frameworks.
• Ensure production stability and resolve critical issues to minimize downtime.
• Analyze existing codebases and propose improvements for performance and scalability.
• Support change requests from cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Review peer pull requests and enforce best coding practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them on development standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks (NestJS, ExpressJS, GraphQL, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of databases such as MongoDB and MySQL.
• Experience with automation workflows (Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, etc.).
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

• Portfolio or relevant projects showcasing backend expertise.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD practices.
• Experience writing clear technical documentation.
