A leading regional fintech company is seeking a Founding AI Engineer to help design and build next-generation intelligent systems from fraud detection and risk modeling to hyper-personalized financial services that improve accessibility for millions of users.

This is a permanent role based in Thailand, working closely with regional teams. Youll collaborate directly with senior AI leadership, contribute hands-on to production systems, and play a founding role in shaping AI initiatives with visible impact at scale.

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for high-impact use cases.
• Contribute to model architecture, data pipeline design, and deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver AI initiatives.
• Own the ML lifecycle: preprocessing, training, evaluation, and production monitoring.

Requirements

• Software Engineering background (Fullstack/Backend focus) with strong coding fundamentals.
• 36 years of experience in AI/ML engineering with production deployments.
• Strong proficiency in Python (must-have).
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices: distributed systems, API development, CI/CD, cloud services.
• Applied AI experience in recommendation systems, fraud detection, risk modeling, or NLP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good English communication skills (must-have).
• Thai citizenship, with ability to work hybrid from Thailand while collaborating regionally.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science (must-have)
• Preference for candidates from top 3 local universities (e.g., Chulalongkorn, Thammasat, Mahidol) or top-ranked global universities.

Nice-to-Haves (Priority order)

• Experience with MLOps (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, cloud platforms).
• Knowledge of responsible AI (fairness, interpretability, governance).
• Startup or scale-up experience.
• Exposure to data compliance, distributed systems, or platform-level engineering (similar to the Bytedance/Microsoft background in the sample CV).
