The Opportunity (Hybrid/Remote)
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Development Representative to drive top-of-the-funnel sales activities. You will identify prospects, educate potential customers, qualify leads, and book meetings. Acting as the bridge between sales and marketing, you will engage in a mix of inbound and outbound pre-sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting
- Create a detailed profile of ideal customers based on demographics, industry, and pain points to target the right prospects.
- Research and compile a list of potential customers that align with the buyer persona, focusing on companies that are a good fit for the product or service.
- Initiate contact with prospects through cold calls, emails, and other channels to assess their interest, budget, needs, and goals.
2. Lead Qualification
- Analyze potential customers to determine if they align with the companys ideal customer profile and have a need for the product or service.
- Connect with leads via calls and emails to gather insights about their challenges, needs, and interest in the offering.
- Evaluate existing customers for upsell or cross-sell opportunities to maximize sales potential.
3. Lead Nurturing
- Reach out through email campaigns, content marketing, and product demos to provide valuable information and maintain interest.
- Monitor prospect responses and interactions to tailor future communications and guide them through the sales pipeline.
- Keep prospects engaged during their research and consideration phase, ensuring the company stays top of mind until they are ready to buy.
4. Booking meetings
- Secure meetings with qualified prospects and ensure a smooth transition to the sales team.
- Share essential information about the leads needs, challenges, and engagement history to help the sales rep tailor their approach.
- Align with the sales team to set clear expectations and maximize the chances of a successful deal closure.
Your Qualifications:
- Previous Sales or Customer-facing Experience: Experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage prospects through clear, persuasive, and professional verbal and written communication.
- Prospecting and Research Ability: Skilled in identifying ideal customers, researching potential leads, and understanding business needs.
- Outbound Sales Experience: Comfortable with cold calling, email outreach, and other engagement methods to generate and qualify leads.
- CRM and Sales Tools Proficiency: Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales engagement platforms.
- Collaboration and Handoff Efficiency: Ability to work closely with the sales team, ensuring a smooth transition of qualified leads with key insights.
- Goal-Oriented and Resilient: Persistent in handling objections, following up with leads, and driving results in a fast-paced sales environment.
