Position Title: Business Development Manager Low Voltage Cabling (Future Division Leader)
Location: Columbus, Ohio | Travel: Local travel to client sites as needed
Reports to: Executive Leadership

About the Role

Were seeking a strategic, business-savvy professional to spearhead the growth of our Low Voltage Division through direct business development and client acquisition efforts. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role to startwith a clear path into leadership as the division scales.

Youll own the full sales cyclefrom identifying opportunities and bidding on RFPs to closing deals, focused on low-voltage cabling, A/V, and integrated systems within the construction space. If you're well-versed in the construction bid process, understand who the key players are, and thrive in building relationships that convert, this role is for you.

The ideal candidate comes from the low-voltage, electrical, or construction industry and has successfully closed B2B sales in that space.

What Youll Be Doing: Business Development & Sales (Primary Focus)

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities
  • Develop and manage relationships with GCs, electrical contractors, developers, and other key industry contacts
  • Lead bid efforts for public and private RFPsowning scope review, pricing, proposal development, and negotiations
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline and track activity through CRM or sales reporting tools
  • Represent the company at site visits, walkthroughs, industry events, and pre-bid meetings

Division Strategy & Future Leadership

  • Collaborate with leadership to shape the growth plan for the Low Voltage Division
  • Once client base and project load grow, take on hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of field teams and project managers
  • Help define scalable systems, processes, and quality standards that support division operations
  • Stay current on technology trends and recommend service line expansion as the division matures

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients and early projects, ensuring a smooth handoff to operations
  • Provide consultative solutions tailored to client needs, budgets, and timelines
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, change requests, and project questions with professionalism and urgency

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management in the construction, low voltage, or electrical industries
  • Deep understanding of the construction bid process and how to win work through RFPs and direct outreach
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, A/V, access control, and related low-voltage systems
  • Comfortable with technical sales conversations and proposal development
  • BICSI RCDD certification not required, but may be helpful
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel locally for client visits
