Job Openings Senior Enterprise Business Development Executive (Technology Solutions)

About the job Senior Enterprise Business Development Executive (Technology Solutions)

We are hiring a senior, relationship-driven, Enterprise-level Sales Executive to open doors and win new large-scale projects. This full-time, W-2 role reports to a member of our small executive team, with direct access to company leadership.

We are a US-based data and technology consulting firm headquartered in the Midwest. As a professional services firm, this is a strategic investment role with a compass towards long-term growth, and we will give the right person room to build.

  • Type: Full-time, direct hire (W-2)
  • Location: Remote, US-based
  • Target start: January 2027

What you'll do

You are a hunter. Your job is to get us into rooms with senior leaders at companies that don't know us yet, then partner with leadership and delivery to turn those conversations into long-term clients.

  • Win new commercial enterprise business.
  • Use and grow your network of CIOs, VPs, and senior business leaders to open new accounts.
  • Lead consultative conversations that uncover pain and define a good outcome, then bring leadership or technical experts into the follow-up.
  • Leverage colleagues' existing relationships to reach new accounts.
  • Plan in-person outreach such as regional trips, client dinners, and small events.
  • Shape account strategy and your annual plan with leadership, and read when a buyer is ready to act.

It's a small team, and there are many hats to wear. You will have support: a business development rep handles outbound lead generation, and our team assists with technical sales, research, account mapping, and proposals. We don't want you building lead lists or chasing RFPs. But you should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and knowing how to jump in when the occasion asks for it.

Who you are

  • Typically 20+ years in IT services, consulting, or technology sales, or senior IT leadership with a record of opening doors.
  • An established network of senior decision-makers at large enterprises, and the drive to grow it.
  • New-logo wins sourced through your own relationships, not exclusively inbound leads or through partner channels.
  • Experience with $500K to $2M annual deals and sales cycles of nine months or more.
  • Self-directed and results-driven, without needing close management.
  • Enough technical fluency to discuss adoption, data, and integration challenges with business and IT leaders.
  • Confident, never arrogant. You build trust and read people well.
  • Willing to travel about 25% of the time.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a large consulting firm such as Accenture, Deloitte, or EY.
  • Senior IT experience inside a large enterprise.
  • Salesforce ecosystem knowledge (helpful, not required).
  • Startup or small-business experience, as long as your network reaches enterprise decision-makers at large enterprise-level.

What success looks like

Success is $1M to $2M in new revenue in your first full year and about $2M a year after that, ideally from two or three major clients rather than dozens of small ones.

  • First 90 days: Regular meetings with potential clients. Around 15 to 20 a month, even if only a few become real opportunities, is a strong start.
  • 6 to 9 months: A healthy pipeline of qualified enterprise opportunities.
  • Year one and beyond: New logos that grow into multi-year relationships.

We don't track call counts, but we expect real conversations, and we build your plan together. Leadership or a technical lead can join any meeting where you want support.

Why join us

For about a decade we have grown by going deep, not wide: we hire specialists and do the heavy lifting other firms avoid.

  • Leadership that knows your buyer. Our CEO spent two decades as a CIO.
  • Steady, profitable growth. Profitable nearly every year since our startup phase, with average deal size rising every year.
  • Where the market is going. Our work centers on AI, CRM, data, analytics, and automation, and data governance, data quality, master data management, and advisory services.
  • Startup spirit. No layers of management, and a team that helps each other.
  • Everyone has a stake. Employees have shared in company success, and a new ownership program is in development.
  • Strong backing. A highly accomplished advisory board and a respected brand.

We are a small company with lean resources, so you'll need to be resourceful. In exchange, you get flexibility, ownership, and a direct line to the people running the business.

Compensation and benefits

Strong base salary, variable upon experience with uncapped commission and accelerators. We never penalize people for winning big.

  • Benefits: Full health benefits, responsible time off (at least two weeks expected), and support for conferences and learning.
  • Travel: About 25%, roughly one week a month, with a travel budget.
  • Location: Remote within the US

If interested, please send resume along with a few notes that help me understand why you are a great fit. Resumes submitted without additional information may not be reviewed by a human because you're probably also bot-applying and maybe not a human who would see this follow-up action. Help me help you get seen, and send a note.

Please, no c2c. W2 only; permanent US residents only (unable to sponsor now or in the future).
