Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Diagnostic Technologists to join our team in the Radiologists & Medical Tech/Pathology, Haematology, & Microbiology departments. As a Diagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures, analyzing and interpreting results, and accurately reporting findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a wide range of diagnostic tests and procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, blood tests, and tissue samples
- Operate and maintain various diagnostic equipment and instruments
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the process
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Analyze and interpret test results, and communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests and procedures performed
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
- Stay current with advances in diagnostic technology and techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field
- Certification or registration as a Diagnostic Technologist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory setting
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and reliable results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
