Amazon Inventory & Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Amazon Inventory & Procurement Specialist to manage inventory planning, stock replenishment and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central or a similar e-commerce platform, together with a strong background in procurement and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Stock Planning

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability and prevent stockouts.
• Forecast stock requirements and plan replenishment based on sales trends and demand.
• Manage the full stock replenishment process, from supplier ordering through to delivery and receiving.
• Coordinate purchase orders, supplier lead times and stock availability.
• Identify potential inventory risks and implement solutions to maintain optimal stock levels.

Amazon Seller Central & E-commerce Operations

• Monitor and resolve Amazon listing suppressions to maintain listing compliance and visibility.
• Monitor Buy Box performance and investigate issues affecting product availability and competitiveness.
• Manage Amazon Transparency Program requirements and product compliance.
• Monitor low-inventory fees and implement strategies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Investigate recurring customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions with the warehouse, including product packaging and repackaging improvements.
• Escalate stock, product quality and fulfilment issues to the relevant teams and follow through to resolution.

Supplier, Warehouse & Marketing Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers regarding purchase orders, stock availability, delivery timelines and replenishment.
• Work closely with warehouse teams to resolve inventory discrepancies, product damage and packaging concerns.
• Collaborate with marketing to coordinate promotions and ensure stock levels support planned campaigns.
• Maintain clear communication across teams to ensure smooth inventory and fulfilment operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory management and procurement.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central or a similar e-commerce marketplace.
• Strong understanding of stock forecasting, replenishment planning and purchase order management.
• Experience liaising with suppliers, warehouses and cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Amazon listing suppressions, Buy Box performance, inventory fees and marketplace compliance.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines practical procurement and inventory management experience with a solid understanding of Amazon or e-commerce marketplace operations. They must be comfortable managing the complete replenishment cycle, resolving inventory-related issues and ensuring stock is available when needed.

Important: The primary focus of this role is inventory management, procurement and Amazon operations. Profit and loss reporting and new product feasibility analysis are not core responsibilities.
