Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support a newspapers daily and weekly design needs. This role covers everything from designing print and digital advertisements to layout edits, visual updates, and production-ready files. The ideal candidate is adaptable, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced publishing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design print and digital advertisements for the newspaper and its advertisers

  • Create and update page layouts, inserts, banners, and promotional materials

  • Edit, resize, and adjust existing artwork as needed for publication

  • Ensure designs meet brand guidelines, print specifications, and deadlines

  • Collaborate with editorial, sales, and production teams

  • Prepare final files for print and digital distribution

  • Manage multiple design requests with quick turnaround times

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in print, media, or publishing

  • Proficiency in standard graphic design tools (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of print design, layouts, typography, and color

  • Ability to follow creative direction while also working independently

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Comfortable working US business hours

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with newspapers, magazines, or advertising agencies

  • Basic knowledge of digital formats and online ad requirements

  • Ability to handle revisions efficiently in a deadline-driven environment

Working Arrangement
