Warehouse Management & WMS Customer Support Specialist

Remote | Ecommerce, Warehousing & Dropshipping

Hours 3pm -11pm SA time

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Management / WMS Specialist to support a software company developing a platform for businesses operating warehouses, ecommerce fulfillment, and dropshipping operations.

The software helps businesses track inventory, identify stock availability, manage orders, and determine what needs to be picked and shipped. The successful candidate will provide customer support for the platform while using their practical knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, and WMS systems to understand and resolve customer queries.

This is an ideal role for someone who has worked in a warehouse, 3PL, fulfillment, logistics, or ecommerce environment and has hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support and assistance to users of the warehouse management software.
  • Understand customer queries relating to inventory, orders, picking, packing, shipping, and fulfillment.
  • Investigate issues within the system and identify where a process or data discrepancy has occurred.
  • Use knowledge of warehouse operations to help customers understand how to correctly use the software.
  • Assist customers with stock management, order processing, inventory visibility, and shipment workflows.
  • Review system information and identify discrepancies between physical stock, system stock, orders, and shipments.
  • Help customers understand what stock is available and what orders need to be fulfilled or shipped.
  • Work with internal technical/product teams when system issues require further investigation.
  • Clearly communicate solutions and updates to customers.
  • Capture and maintain accurate customer, inventory, order, and operational information.
  • Identify recurring customer or warehouse issues and provide feedback to the product team.
  • Assist with testing and understanding new software features from a warehouse user's perspective.
  • Help ensure the software reflects practical warehouse and fulfillment processes.

WMS Experience – Essential

Candidates should have hands-on experience using a WMS or similar warehouse/logistics software.

Experience with platforms such as:

  • ShipHero
  • Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager / 3PL Central
  • Logiwa
  • Fishbowl
  • NetSuite WMS
  • SAP Warehouse Management
  • Cin7
  • DEAR / Cin7 Core
  • Manhattan
  • Blue Yonder
  • Or a comparable WMS, inventory, warehouse, or fulfillment platform

The specific system is less important than having genuine hands-on experience using a WMS and understanding how warehouse operations work.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in warehouse management, inventory, logistics, 3PL, fulfillment, ecommerce, or dropshipping.
  • Strong hands-on experience with a WMS or warehouse/inventory management system.
  • A good understanding of stock control, inventory movements, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Experience investigating discrepancies between system information and actual warehouse activity.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to explain technical or system-related information in a simple way to customers.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with inventory and order data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and investigation skills.
  • The ability to work between customers, warehouse operations, and the software/product team.
  • Someone who is comfortable learning a new software platform and understanding how it fits into real-world warehouse processes.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems.
