Medical Biller Primary Care, Behavioral Health & Dental (Remote)

We proudly serve all patients, regardless of their financial situation, and accept Medicaid, Medicare, most major insurance plans, and offer sliding scale and financial assistance options.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Biller to manage billing operations across our expanding services. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing for primary care, behavioral health, and (preferably) dental services. Familiarity with FQHC look-alike billing models is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and submit claims for medical, behavioral health, and (eventually) dental services
• Review encounter forms and billing documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure claims are coded correctly using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
• Work insurance denials and rejections, and follow up on unpaid claims
• Monitor and manage patient balances and accounts receivable
• Work with Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurers, and sliding scale billing
• Collaborate with providers and staff to resolve coding or documentation issues
• Assist with monthly reporting, audits, and compliance documentation
• Stay current on payer policies and industry billing standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding (primary care or behavioral health)
• Familiarity with FQHC or FQHC look-alike billing is highly preferred
• Dental billing experience is a strong plus
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payer requirements
• Proficiency in EHR and billing software systems
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
