The Procurement Manager,  will play a crucial role in ensuring that the healthcare facility has the necessary supplies and equipment to provide quality patient care. By efficiently managing the procurement process, purchasers contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of healthcare facilities, ultimately impacting the quality of patient care.

Their duties can vary depending on the specific organization, but generally include the following responsibilities:

Duties :

  • Supplier Management: Purchasers identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with vendors to ensure a stable supply of medical equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals. They also evaluate supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.
  • Budget Management: Purchasers work within budget constraints to obtain the necessary supplies. This involves cost analysis, price negotiations, and finding cost-effective solutions without compromising the quality of products.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing the inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet the demands of the healthcare facility. This includes monitoring usage patterns, reordering supplies, and reducing wastage.
  • Quality Assurance: Purchasers are responsible for ensuring that all purchased items meet the required quality standards and regulatory compliance. This is particularly important in the healthcare industry, where the quality and reliability of medical supplies directly impact patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • 2-5 Years minimum experience within a Purchaser Role
  • Experience within the Health Care Industry
  • Excellent Administration experience
  • SNF Long term care (experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with DSSI and/or Procurement Partners

Full time role. Candidates are required to work USA hours
