About the job bookkeeping assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Quickbooks Bookkeeper and Accounts Receivable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our bookkeeping tasks and following up on past-due payments from customers. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for numbers, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work diligently with financial data. This position requires full-time commitment and alignment with our working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping:
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Run and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with the existing team of bookkeepers to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Follow up on past-due payments from clients via email or phone calls, utilizing effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Utilize various methods to secure payments promptly, ensuring timely and consistent cash flow.
- Track and document all interactions with clients regarding overdue payments.
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Quickbooks bookkeeping or accounts receivable management is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reports and the ability to analyze numerical data effectively.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in handling financial data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly; candidates with a genuine enthusiasm for numbers will be considered.
Working Hours: This is a full-time position with a requirement for full overlap with our company's working hours. 3pm to 11pm South African Time
Payment Follow-Up Hours: Approximately 2-4 hours biweekly will be dedicated to following up on payments from clients, utilizing appropriate communication methods.
