Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Full-Time Remote opportunity

UK Business Hours 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM UK Time (10:00 AM – 5:30 PM SA time)

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting within the healthcare sector, focusing on public and private care homes and support organisations across the UK.

This is a highly outbound-focused role where success is driven by consistent cold calling, lead generation, prospect qualification, and pipeline development. You will engage decision-makers, uncover business needs, overcome objections, and secure qualified opportunities for the UK-based sales team.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, resilient in the face of rejection, and experienced in generating qualified sales opportunities through high-volume outbound activity. While email outreach will support the process, cold calling and direct prospect engagement will be the primary focus of the role.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Identify and research prospective healthcare organisations, including care homes and support service providers
  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to generate new business opportunities
  • Engage with key decision-makers and build meaningful business relationships
  • Qualify prospects by gathering relevant business intelligence and identifying potential needs
  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent prospecting activities
  • Book qualified meetings for UK-based Account Executives and Account Managers
  • Secure agreed next steps such as meetings, proposal requests, rate submissions, and follow-up discussions
  • Accurately record all prospect interactions, notes, and activities within the CRM system
  • Collaborate closely with the UK sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities
  • Consistently meet or exceed outbound activity and pipeline generation targets

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Development Representative, Business Development Representative, Lead Generation, or similar outbound sales role
  • Proven success in cold calling and outbound prospecting
  • Experience generating and qualifying leads within a B2B environment
  • Confident engaging senior decision-makers over the phone
  • Strong objection-handling and relationship-building skills
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working with rejection
  • Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
