About the Role
A leading civil and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with strong NEC4 Option C contract experience to join their team on one of Irelands largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects.
This is a strategic, remote position , ideal for someone with a proven background in utility and road infrastructure and a strong grasp of Design & Build (D&B) contracts.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all commercial activities on large-scale infrastructure projects under NEC4 Option C.

Oversee cost planning, value engineering, and financial forecasting.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations through effective contract administration.

Provide commercial insight and input into key strategic decisions.

Support pre-contract and post-contract activities including tenders, subcontractor procurement, and pricing strategies.

Manage change control processes, claims, and dispute resolution.

Deliver accurate and timely financial reports.

Collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to drive commercial performance.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience and Skills:

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on major infrastructure or utilities projects.

In-depth understanding of NEC4 Option C contracts.

Extensive knowledge of utility and road infrastructure sectors.

Strong familiarity with Design & Build (D&B) contract environments.

Ability to work full-time on site in the Dublin region.

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
