Accounts Payable Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable (AP) professional who can take full ownership of the AP function and potentially grow into a team leadership or managerial role. This is a fast-paced and high-volume environment that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong process discipline, and the ability to keep payments accurate, timely, and controlled.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Experienced with QuickBooks
Manage payment cycles and cash flow commitments, ensuring all obligations are met while maintaining strong financial control.
Maintain and review AP aging reports, ensuring outstanding supplier balances are resolved efficiently.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve AP processes, controls, and approval workflows.
Manage and support the AP team (where applicable), providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Liaise with procurement, operations, and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries (because someone always sent it already).
Prepare AP reports and payment summaries for management review.
Support month-end and year-end close processes related to Accounts Payable.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple payment deadlines.
Experience leading or mentoring a team (advantageous).
Proficiency in accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
