Architectural Technician – Scan-to-BIM

Role Summary

We are seeking Architectural Technicians with hands-on experience in Scan-to-BIM workflows. This role involves working with building scan data and converting it into accurate architectural documentation and BIM models for existing buildings.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced in turning point cloud data into high-quality architectural outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with laser scan and point cloud data captured using scanning technologies

• Convert scan data into BIM models and architectural drawings

• Produce accurate as-built drawings including plans, sections, and elevations

• Develop models primarily in Revit from point cloud inputs

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards

• Coordinate with the OJBA Lead and project team on deliverables and timelines

• Perform QA/QC checks on models and drawings

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience as an Architectural Technician / BIM Technician

• Practical experience in Scan-to-BIM processes

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit

• Ability to interpret and work directly from point cloud data

• Solid understanding of architectural documentation for existing buildings

• High attention to detail and accuracy
