Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join a growing healthcare support team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Accounts Receivable (AR) and billing experience, who enjoys working in a structured environment and ensuring accurate financial processes. While prior experience in healthcare billing is beneficial, training will be provided on Medicaid billing, private-pay clients, and the Access Care system.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate billing records, following up on outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage medical billing for Medicaid and private-paying clients

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) functions including tracking, reconciliation, and follow-ups

• Submit and monitor billing claims and payments

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues

• Maintain accurate financial records and billing documentation

• Communicate with internal teams regarding billing and payment status

• Follow up on outstanding invoices and aged receivables

• Ensure compliance with billing procedures and healthcare regulations

• Work within the Access Care system (training provided)

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and billing

• Bookkeeping or financial administration experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable learning new software systems (training provided)

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with healthcare billing

• Exposure to Medicaid or insurance billing processes

• Previous experience using healthcare billing systems
