Job Brief

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead and expand their business growth initiatives for their rapidly growing MedTech brand. This strategic leader will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, forging strong partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the technology and healthcare sector.

Hybrid work model (3 days in West End Toronto office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances
  • Develop thought leadership persona at conferences to represent the company
  • Drive revenue growth through lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and expansion opportunities
  • Manage growth and cleanliness of high-value monster prospect list (MPL) in Salesforce and HubSpot CRM
  • Grow the TAM and seek product feedback to expand the SAM for the company
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, product development, and customer empowerment
  • Negotiate and close high-value deals with strategic accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry influencers
  • Represent company at industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows
  • Work with marketing to host company industry networking events for brand awareness and lead generation
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure success and optimize business development strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably within SaaS and/or healthcare sector
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing strategic partnerships
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and high execution skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Experience managing high-level client relationships and building long-term business alliances
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and business analytics software
  • Proven experience building and managing full cycle sales teams that consistently hit targets
  • Experience with consultative selling and solution selling methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 6 times per year
