Job Description:
Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Officer with solid experience in MEP or construction projects within the UAE. The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma or ITI qualification, have a minimum of 5 years of HSE experience, and possess a NEBOSH International General Certificate. This role requires strong knowledge of local safety regulations and the ability to implement and monitor safety practices on-site to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across project sites.

Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure immediate corrective measures are taken.

Prepare and implement Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system.

Lead Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, and on-site HSE awareness training sessions for all personnel.

Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and prepare monthly safety performance reports.

Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations including OSHAD, ADM, DM, and other relevant authorities.

Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into daily operations.

Monitor and maintain safety equipment, including PPE, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency response tools.

Participate in HSE audits, site walkthroughs, and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

Assist in preparing safety documentation relevant to MEP activities such as hot works, confined space entry, electrical panels, HVAC systems, and work at height.

Promote a safety-first culture through consistent communication, leadership, and active engagement on site.
Requirements:

Diploma / ITI in any technical discipline.

Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in MEP or construction projects within the UAE.

NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of UAE safety standards and regulations, including OSHAD, ADM, and DM.

Proficient in preparing risk assessments, JSAs, PTWs, and HSE documentation.

Good understanding of MEP-related hazards and relevant control measures.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lead, influence, and build safety awareness among site teams.
Salary & Benefits:

Salary Range: AED 3,000 - 5,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
