Food Technologist

 Job Description:

A full-time Food Technologist is required for a state-of-the-art confectionery facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in Food Science, Technology, Engineering, or Microbiology, with certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or HALAL/KOSHER considered an advantage. Responsibilities include developing and testing recipes for cookies, wafers, and chocolates, working with various ingredients and formulations, and optimizing products for cost, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role demands a solid understanding of baking, casting, glazing, and packaging processes, along with SOP documentation, allergen control, traceability, and microbiological risk management in confectionery production.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and test recipes for cookies, wafers, chocolate, etc.
  • Work with ingredients like sugars, fats, emulsifiers, and leavening agents.
  • Develop SOPs, process standards, and product documentation.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and allergen control processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Technology or Food Science.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in bakery or confectionery manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and related certifications.

Salary Range: AED 12,000 21,000
